Camel's Hump

Middlebury College sits between the Green Mountains of Vermont and the Adirondacks of New York in a remarkable setting for outdoor exploration and enjoyment.  Alpine cliffs, lakes and rivers, ski trails, sweeping views, and bucolic landscapes surround our campus.  Embedded within the Office of Student Engagement, Middlebury Outdoor Programs provide equipment, facilities, knowledge, skills, support and leadership to help our community explore the outdoors.  We believe our programs directly support the College’s Mission Statement:

Through a commitment to immersive learning, we prepare students to lead engaged, consequential, and creative lives, contribute to their communities, and address the world’s most challenging problems.
