When the bikes are stored for winter, and the snow begins to fly in Vermont, our Bike Shop becomes a Ski Shop! Come rent some Telemark ski gear, or get your skis tuned and waxed by some of our snow-oriented student orgs.

What a cold and snowy winter to remember! Thanks to everyone who helped make it even more wonderful by offering waxing sessions throughout Jterm, and for equipment rentals brought to you by members of the Freeheelers and Midd Club Nordic, along with the Gear Room staff. See you next December!
The Free Heelers and Midd Club Nordic take over the space from December to March, offering gear rentals and waxing clinics throughout the winter season.
Telemark Skis
The Free Heelers, Middlebury College’s Telemark Ski Club, offers free Telemark gear rentals, including skis, boots, skins, and poles.

Ski Waxing Sessions
Midd Club Nordic, the college’s cross country ski club team, is offering two distinct free waxing sessions over the course of J-term:

Other Resources
The Gear Room, offers a fleet of both backcountry classic and nordic skate skis, boots, and poles for rent to students (for free!) throughout the winter months while Rikert Outdoor Center is open. You can rent cross-country ski equipment (and more) during the following days:
