Middlebury’s New President Announced!  

Ian Baucom has been appointed the next Middlebury president and will join the institution on July 1. Special thanks to Leroy Graham and Muchadei Zvoma for their time and commitment representing staff on the Presidential Search Committee. 

Daffodil Days 2025 (VT) 

The annual springtime flower sale benefits the American Cancer Society.  To place your order, use this form and follow the appropriate payment instructions. Orders are due February 17;  flowers will be delivered to 75 Shannon Street for pick-up the week of March 17. 

Are Your Trainings in Oracle Not Showing Completed? 

All employees are assigned training to complete in Oracle under Learning (ex. Defensive Driving). Once you complete a training you must select “Save and Close” before exiting to mark it complete. If you complete a training, and it doesn’t show it as complete, don’t do it again! Email HR. See the HR FAQs for more details. 

Is Your Space Too Hot?  

If your space is too warm, Facilities asks you please submit a service request. Opening a window to cool your space during winter often exacerbates the problem by cooling down the thermostat, which then triggers the heating system. 

Stonecrop Meadows Housing Info Session (VT) 

Monday, February 3, 1:00 p.m. Wilson Hall or on Zoom. Summit Properties will host an info session on Stonecrop Meadows, a new community offering homeownership opportunities and apartment rentals at a range of price points in Middlebury. 

Employee Adventure Day (VT) 

Tuesday, February 4, 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., Rikert Outdoor Center in Ripton. Snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, fat bike riding, and hot cocoa and cookies by the fire will be available. HR Events 

Rania Matar: SHE Opening Reception (VT) 

Thursday, February 13, 4:30 p.m. To celebrate the opening of their newest exhibition, staff are invited to join the Middlebury Museum of Art for a panel discussion with the artist followed by a reception with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
