Representative Spotlight: ASA WATERWORTH (VT)

Meet Asa Waterworth, currently the University Relations Associate for the Middlebury Schools Abroad. Asa began working at Middlebury in 2019 within the Admissions Office, dedicating three years to the Admissions team. Subsequently, Asa transitioned to the International Programs & Off-Campus Studies team, assuming the role of University Relations Associate.

Asa represents District D and serves as the Chair of the Events Committee. In her short term, which runs through June 2025, has already left a mark on the council by fostering community engagement and connection with the great events she manages.

Joining staff council in June 2023, Asa was driven by a desire to deepen her involvement in the campus community and forge connections with colleagues across diverse departments. Admitting she wasn’t entirely sure of the Council’s functions before joining, Asa embraces the experience.

Asa’s favorite Middlebury resource and tip involves a lunchtime wander around the Museum of Art or a cross-country ski on Ralph’s Run, the groomed track around the golf course. An advocate for continuous personal and professional growth, Asa has taken advantage of the Continuing Education Fund, recognizing it as a valuable resource for staff.

Asa’s fun fact? She has a 108-year-old pen pal!

District D represents: Admissions, Bread Loaf School of English, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conferences, Davis United World College Scholars, Dean of the College (minus Student Activities), Disability Resource Center, the Innovation Hub, International Programs and Study Abroad, International Student and Scholar Services, Language Schools, President’s House, President’s Office, Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs, Sports Medicine
