Asa Waterworth

Meet Asa, currently the University Relations Associate for the Middlebury Schools Abroad. Asa began working at Middlebury in 2019 in the Admissions Office, dedicating three years to the Admissions team. Subsequently, Asa transitioned to the International Programs & Off-Campus Studies team, assuming the role of University Relations Associate.

Asa represents District D and serves as the Chair of the Events Committee. In her short term, she has already left a mark on the council by fostering community engagement and connection with the great events she manages.

Joining staff council in June 2023, Asa was driven by a desire to deepen her involvement in the campus community and forge connections with colleagues across diverse departments. Admitting she wasn’t entirely sure of the Council’s functions before joining, Asa embraces the experience.

Asa’s favorite Middlebury resource and tip involves a lunchtime stroll around the Middlebury College Museum of Art or a cross-country ski on Ralph’s Run, the groomed track around the Ralph Myhre Golf Course. An advocate for continuous personal and professional growth, Asa has taken advantage of the Continuing Education Fund, recognizing it as a valuable resource for staff.

Asa’s fun fact? She has a 108-year-old pen pal!
