Middlebury welcomes the world to all of our schools and programs!
Middlebury is proud to welcome more than 600 international students, staff, and faculty during the academic year to Middlebury College in Vermont and the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) in Monterey, California. From June to August, an additional 300 international faculty, staff, and students join the Middlebury community to participate in our Middlebury Language Schools located in Bennington, Vermont, and Middlebury, Vermont, and the Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English (BLSE) at sites in California, New Mexico, and Vermont.
International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) works closely with Middlebury’s incredibly accomplished and talented international students, staff, and faculty to ensure that they can work, study, or conduct research in Middlebury’s many programs around the globe to achieve their goals. ISSS actively supports Middlebury’s commitment to international education. We facilitate the process of bringing students, staff, and faculty from around the world to study and work at Middlebury, and we offer programs and services that assist and guide international students, scholars, and their dependents by fostering a rewarding experience in a supportive environment. We also inform and educate colleagues about the procedures associated with enrolling and hiring international students and scholars.
