Late Fall Fellowship Opportunities
Monday, 9/21 @ 4:30-5:30 pm ET in LIB 201
Learn about fellowships with late fall and winter deadlines: Beinecke, CLS, David-Weill, Goldwater, St. Andrews, Truman, and Udall. These include awards for graduate study, summer study, and undergraduate study in various fields. The session led by Dean Lisa Gates will provide a quick overview of the fellowships and nomination process. There are opportunities for all class years. Pre-Health Info Session III: Medical School Application Timeline Review (Virtual)
Tuesday, 10/6 @ 7-8 pm ET on Zoom
Join the health professions team as they demystify the professional school application process. Mary Lothrop and Hannah Benz will be leading this session on Middlebury’s internal health professions committee and how to develop and submit a competitive medical school application. They’ll be joined by candidates who have already gone through the health professions committee review process and will be able to share their personal insights. No registration necessary. Learn about these fellowships that support graduate study in multiple countries. UK fellowships include Rhodes, Marshall, Churchill, Keasbey and Gates-Cambridge. Fellowships support graduate study and/or postgraduate research and independent projects in various fields. The session led by Dean Lisa Gates will provide an overview of the fellowships and nomination process. This is a great session for Febs and students heading abroad soon or just thinking ahead! For Seniors and Super-Seniors
Hertz Fellowship: Funding for graduate study, STEM fields. Seniors/alumni. High GPA; US citizen or permanent resident; GRE or MCAT scores (for MD/PhD) required. Deadline late Oct, please check the website. hertzfoundation.org
Lafayette Fellowship: Supports one-year of master degree study at multiple universities in France and leadership development. Must be seniors/super-seniors or recent alumni, minimum GPA of 3.7. lafayette.villa-albertine.org
Michel David-Weill Scholarship: Supports a two-year master’s program at Sciences Po (France). Must be US citizens, seniors/super-seniors, minimum GPA of 3.7. NSF GRFP: Funding for graduate study, STEM fields. Seniors/alumni. High GPA; US citizen, US national, permanent resident. nsfgrfp.org

Goldwater Scholarship: Tuition award, STEM students planning research careers. Sophomores and juniors eligible. Must have 3.7+ GPA, US citizen or US national.
