Summer Archaeological Fieldwork
In addition to attending study abroad programs, some choose to participate in archaeological fieldwork. Professor Broucke has taken a number of students on his dig at Messene, and students have excavated at other sites in the Mediterranean as well.
If you are interested in working on a dig, consult with any professor in Classics. A listing of classical fieldwork opportunities can be found at the American Institute of Archaeology website.
