The Dance Company of Middlebury joins award-winning PEARSONWIDRIG DANCETHEATER to create A CURIOUS INVASION/MIDDLEBURY. The audience embarks on an elaborate journey in and around the Mahaney Center for the Arts in this sweeping, site-specific performance work by award-winning U.S. dance company PEARSONWIDRIG DANCETHEATER, collaborating with the Dance Company of Middlebury, with live music performed by Peruvian-Japanese composer Pauchi Sasaki. The work includes snippets of the Alumni Solos Project, choreographed by Peter Schmitz with Paul Matteson ’00, Simon Thomas-Train ’09, Pamela Vail ’90, and Otto Pierce ’13. A Curious Invasion has been performed in China, Korea, Japan, India, and New Zealand.  Middlebury’s four performances draw focus to both the architecture and the landscape of the Mahaney Center.
