The Maison francophone houses nine students and a French native-speaking teaching assistant. Residents pledge to speak only French while in the house.

Overview

Only students who submit an application will be considered for residence in the house. On your application, you may indicate whether you wish to stay for the full academic year or for a single semester. Submitting an application does not limit your ability to express interest in other housing options. If your application to the Maison francophone is accepted and you are invited to live there, you will still have the opportunity to consider the offer before making a commitment.

Even if you are still deciding, we encourage you to submit an application.

If you accept the offer, your commitment is final, and you will be removed from all other housing selections. You may commit to only one housing program (e.g., Residential Life, Social or Interest House, SuperBlock, etc.) for any given term (fall, winter, or spring).

The students living in the house, with the support of the Teaching Assistant, organize a variety of activities, including parties, the weekly Café francophone, a ciné-club, and an annual trip to Montréal. Most importantly, residents pledge to speak only French!
