The intermediate architectural design studio is enriched each year by the integration of a nationally renowned visiting architect, who team-teaches the studio with the Middlebury instructor and works directly with the students. Recent Cameron Visiting Architect Program particpants include Billie Tsien, Koichiro Aitani, Turner Brooks, Susannah Drake, Brian Mackay-Lyons, Jim Cutler, Brian Healy and Marlon Blackwell.
Architectural Studies in Paris
During her junior year, Monica Balan ’08 studied architecture—in French—at the renowned Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris.
Upon graduation she worked in architecture firms in London for a year before enrolling in architecture school at TU Delft, in Holland.
