Choral Ensemble Auditions

College Choir and Women's Glee Club are the auditioned choral ensembles of Middlebury College.

Auditions last about 15 minutes. Students may sing a short piece or excerpt of 1-2 minutes in length if desired, but it is not required. Singers in College Choir and Women's Glee are expected to be familiar with reading music and choral singing, but specific previous experience is not a requirement. Singers should be enthusiastic about participation in an ensemble, and be prepared to make time for all rehearsals and performances.

Please prepare this (if you are able) for the auditions.

First Year students are strongly encouraged to audition before the beginning of classes, and returning students as soon as possible upon arrival on campus.

The choral audition schedule is posted on the bulletin board by room 307 in the Mahaney Center for the Arts (music dept office area).

Walk-ins are welcome as soon as a space is available in the schedule. You may email Professor Buettner to arrange a time outside this schedule if absolutely necessary.
