Native Vermonter Jane Kittredge began studying the violin at age four. After graduating from U-32 in 2003, she moved to New York City to earn her BM, MM, and PSD degrees at the Mannes College of Music with Sally Thomas, Lucie Robert, and Laurie Smukler. Today she performs with a variety of ensembles including the Vermont Symphony, the Springfield Symphony, New York City's DCINY Symphony, the Burlington Chamber Orchestra, Vermont Virtuosi, the Opera Company of Middlebury, and many singer-songwriters including Trey Anastasio, Ryan Miller and Josh Panda. Performance engagements have taken her not only across the country, but throughout Mexico, Italy, France, and Beijing. Her classical training has allowed her to perform in a variety of music styles ranging from early Baroque to folk, jazz rock to pop, and everything in between. She co-founded the classically-inspired folk band, Tumbleweed, which has performed throughout the Champlain Valley since 2014. When not playing, Jane loves to run, dance, sing, teach, hike, and cook.
