Zolotoi plios

The Russian Department frequently presents concerts by the immensely popular folk group, Zolotoi plios. The colorful ensemble offers lively interpretations of folk songs and instrumental music. Its members, Sergei Gratchev, Elena Sadina and Aleksandr Solovov (left to right) are all graduates of the Saratov Music Conservatory of Saratov, Russia. A highlight of the Language Schools calendar for the past several summers, Zolotoi plios ("Golden Strand") will perform for the academic year audience on Wednesday, April 10, at 8pm in the Concert Hall of the Mahaney Center for the Arts. The concert is free and open to the public!
