How did you choose to attend Middlebury?

While looking at schools, the most important factor to me was community.  After visiting Middlebury and speaking to students at the time, I got the sense that Middlebury students were the kind of people that I would love to spend four years around, and I was correct!  The other huge draw was the place; Middlebury is beautiful in every season and offers tons of opportunities for students who want to have an adventure outside of class.

What did you do this summer?

For the first half of the summer, I worked at an international education company in Boston and Berlin, Germany.  I set up exchanges between American school groups traveling in Germany and local German schools.  A large part of the job was arranging app-based scavenger hunts for the students from the US and Germany to do together in the center of Berlin.  I also found interesting places in Berlin for future STEM-based trips to visit next year.  I spent the second half of the summer at home in Westport, NY working in the outdoors program at an amazing summer camp.

Is there a J-Term experience that stands out as especially memorable?

Projecting movies -- especially ski movies -- onto the big screens in Bi-Hall to watch with friends.
