Dear Golfing Friends,
Thank you for your interest in the Alumni Golf Tournament,
scheduled for September 10-11, 2016.
I'm writing with an update on the golf tournament. At this time we haven’t received enough registrations to support a formal weekend of tournament play. However, Chris Daly and his crew at Ralph Myhre are holding tee times for both Saturday and Sunday for those who are still interested in playing. We hope that you will still join us at 1:00 p.m. for a best ball match on Saturday (shotgun start) and/or the blue and white scramble at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. We will continue to honor the pairings that you have sent to us and we will put together foursomes as best we can for all others.
Given the changes in the format, we will be refunding all registration fees in the next few weeks. For those who want to play, you will settle your greens fees directly with the golf shop upon arrival ($20 for alumni, $40 for guests, and club members are covered by their seasonal memberships). Carts are available to rent, and food and beverages can be purchased at Above Par, the new restaurant at the clubhouse that has great food and a full bar.
The golf course is in the best condition it has been in years, and it is our hope that you will still come to enjoy a round or two of golf with other alumni, parents, and friends of Middlebury. We’re writing at this time in deference to those who have made travel plans that may need rearranging, should you choose not to come.
Please contact email@example.com or 802-443-5183 by September 1 to let us know that you received this email and to update us on your plans.
Thank you for your interest and understanding,
