Faculty, Staff, Students

Dear Students, Staff, and Faculty,

As our community adapts to a remote learning model, we have created a process that enables student employees to work remotely.

Student employees can work remotely when all the following criteria are met:

  • The physical work location of the student employee is within the United States. To further clarify: Any student, regardless of citizenship status, who is physically located outside of the United States is not authorized to work remotely for Middlebury College.
  • Duties, obligations, and responsibilities are achievable when working remotely.
  • Break and attendance schedules are adhered to as agreed upon with the supervisor.
  • A maximum of 20 hours of work is allowed across all remote positions during any scheduled academic week.

Students and Supervisors must complete and submit a Remote Student Worker Agreement to the SEO Office at seo@middlebury.edu for approval. Students must wait until the agreement is approved to resume working.

If you are unable to continue your work remotely and are a recipient of Federal Work Study or College Job, Student Financial Services will review your financial aid award to determine revised work study/college job eligibility. Information will be sent directly to you once finalized.

Sincerely,

Samantha R. Flint, M.Ed.
