    Hear from two experienced negotiators about how negotiation works and ways to build skills. This event, co-sponsored by the Conflict Transformation Collaborative and MiddCORE, features two practitioners – Morgan G. Thomas of Accenture and Sarah Federman of the University of San Diego. Learn about the building core skills for negotiation, navigating individual conflicts in the context of power inequalities, and pursuing individual interests and organizational change. Professor Sarah Stroup moderates the discussion.

    Come check out brother, brother, an informal work-in-progress where Miguel Alejandro Castillo Le Maitre dives into the messy, beautiful dynamics of brotherhood. Blending movement and monologue, Miguel pulls from a mix of choreographic and theatrical practices to explore what it means to connect, clash, and come together.

    Think of it as a creative experiment—throwing some pasta at the wall to see what sticks. Join us for an evening of raw, unpolished material and a peek behind the curtain at how art comes to life.

    In this workshop, you’ll learn the basic steps and movements of two of the world’s most beloved partner dances! These beginner classes will focus on individual technique, introduce you to partner dancing (leading and following), and share about the culture of the dance forms.

     
    These will be beginner classes — no prior experience necessary! The only prerequisite is your eagerness to learn and have a great time.
     
    No partner needed for sign-ups. You may sign up as an individual.

    “Dispossession in the Heartland: A Critical Analysis of Consolidated Agricultural Power and the Path Toward Fair-Market Farmland Access” a senior thesis presentation by Windsor Smith ‘24.5, Environmental Justice major. Windsor’s thesis engages Marxist agrarian research to critique the actors, processes, and consequences of small and mid-size farm dispossession in the U.S., as well as potential solutions for improving future land access within a capitalist system.
