Spot Award

Overview

The Spot Award program is designed to acknowledge quickly and in the moment those employees who have done something above and beyond their regular duties, exhibit outstanding work, or embody the core values that drive Middlebury’s success.

When a VP or their designee notices an employee doing something genuinely thoughtful, helpful, or above‑and‑beyond, they can gift that person a Spot Award. It comes with a personal note and a small $25 thank‑you— just a quick acknowledgment that your effort made a difference and someone noticed.

Criteria can include things like:

• Demonstrating outstanding campus citizenship
• Going the extra mile when it matters
• Tackling challenges with creativity and resourcefulness
• Delivering exceptional service

• Bringing forward innovative ideas or solutions
