Spot Award
At Middlebury we firmly believe that recognizing outstanding effort is crucial for fostering a positive and motivated work environment. The Spot Award program not only shows our appreciation for hard work but also reinforces the values and behaviors that make our organization thrive.
Overview
The Spot Award program has been designed to acknowledge quickly and in the moment those employees who have done something above and beyond their regular duties, exhibit outstanding work, or embody the core values that drive our company’s success.
Criteria can include things like:
- Being a great campus citizen
- Going above and beyond
- Creative problem-solving
- Provided great service
- Being Innovative
Process Steps
- VP and/or their designee observes someone do something which rises to the spirt of the Spot Award criteria and writes a quick note in the card. This would be within one or two days of the activity
- The award carries a value of $25
- VP or designee will complete the tracking form – 2 questions - Spot Award Form at the time of giving the award
- HR collects info from tracking form for inputed income step
