Vermont Innovation Summer is a program supporting a cohort of students working at companies and on self-directed projects across Vermont’s innovation ecosystem.

The program is designed to create a community around innovative work, to connect students to Vermont-based innovation organizations and alumni, and to provide opportunities for reflection so that students can take full advantage of the resources Vermont has to offer.

Programming

During your summer experience, you will have regular contact with Innovation Hub staff, who will serve as point people for questions related to your summer experience outside of your internship responsibilities.

Over the course of the summer, you will participate in a few required activities with the entire Vermont Innovation Summer cohort, such as a launch event, an in-person mid-summer reflection dinner, a send-off check in, and a post-summer celebration. These often come with free food! You may also be invited to participate in optional activities, such as coffee and office hours with Innovation Hub staff, a makerspace tool training, networking opportunities, or Burlington community events.
