Douglas Black

Douglas manages all aspects of the physical and online library collections, overseeing purchasing, licensing of subscribed journal collections and databases, cataloging and processing, and budgeting. His primary responsibility is to keep the library’s collections aligned with Middlebury’s current curricula and research, within financial and space constraints. Douglas loves his job because of the people he gets to work with, along with the challenge of translating abstract ideas into concrete resources to meet Middlebury’s information needs.
