Education Studies

The Department of Education Studies seeks an Assistant Professor for a tenure track position beginning September 2013.  Areas of specialization include teaching and learning in secondary schools, urban education, and inclusive education. The successful candidate will teach courses in secondary methods, literacy, critical theory, foundations of education, inclusive education, and be responsible for supervising student teachers in a variety of content areas and grade levels.  Prior teaching experience in secondary schools is required as is the ability to develop constructive relationships with K-12 educators. Candidates should provide evidence of commitment to excellent teaching and scholarly potential.
