Spanish Language/Literature

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese invites applications for a tenure-track position in Spanish, beginning Fall 2013. The candidate is expected to cover the fields of Hispanic Medieval and/or Colonial literature and culture. The candidate should also demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching language courses at all levels, and should be able to teach in English and contribute to the college curriculum outside the department. Candidates should be interested in teaching students from diverse backgrounds and producing scholarship that will enhance a diverse faculty and curriculum.   Appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor (Ph.D) or instructor (ABD). Candidates should provide evidence of commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarly work.
