Bob Cluss was appointed Dean of Curriculum in July of 2004.  Since first joining the faculty in 1986 and returning in 1990, Bob has served as the program chair of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Director of the HHMI research program, and been active on several faculty committees, including Faculty Council and the Educational Affairs Committee. His teaching has focused in biochemistry. He and his research students are investigating how several specific enzymes and more general biochemical pathways contribute to the ability of the Lyme disease pathogen to exist in various hosts and possibly contribute to pathology.
