The 2019 Middlebury Summer Immersion Program STEM Rocket Cars

The scholars from the 2019 Middlebury Summer Immersion Program (MiddSIP) in STEM worked on cooperatively designing, building, testing, and documenting an Alka Seltzer reaction-powered car. The 3 teams of 5 students competed for farthest traveling car per one gas release and best prototype documentation. The project was presented as part of an Engineering Module presented to the students by Michele Dube, Chemistry Laboratory Instructor and Assistant Director of the STEM MiddSIP program.
