Dorothy Robson has been teaching piano to adults and children at her studio in Hancock, Vermont, since 1980. She has been a music educator in the Hancock/Rochester area schools since 1971, and has been active as music director and pianist for White River Valley Players' musical theater productions since 1980. Ms. Robson has also been music director for the choirs of the Federated Church of Rochester for the past 12 years.
A composer of instrumental and vocal music, she studied with Jim Grant at Middlebury College. She wrote and orchestrated music for a full-length musical, Second Chance, which premiered in 2000. Ms. Robson received her B.S. in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pennsylvania and has done gradaute study at Boston University, University of Vermont and the Orff Institute. She likes to work theory and composition into her piano lessons
