    Time: All Day Event
    Location:
The Dean of the Faculty invites applications for Ada Howe Kent grants for academic year 2024-25 (ranging between $2,000 and $4,000) for faculty who are developing new pedagogical directions, new courses, and research projects focused on teaching and pedagogy that would benefit from such support. All members of the faculty are eligible for Ada Howe Kent grants. The funds must be used between October 14, 2024 and September 30, 2025. Ada Howe Kent funding, which is awarded on a competitive basis, is designed to promote faculty members’ ambitions in advancing their teaching and their research about teaching and the learning process. The competition is open to a wide range of proposals including, for example: support for attending conferences and workshops related to teaching, funding for travel to develop materials for new courses or new modules in courses, or tuition to cover costs for training in a skill or an approach that would advance teaching. Individual faculty members, a team of faculty members, and even faculty comprising a department, or a program may submit proposals. The Academic Administration is especially interested in proposals that stretch the expertise of faculty members, enabling them to offer courses or supervise student projects in areas that are new to them. Applicants should provide a current CV and a brief yet detailed summary of the project for which support is sought, together with a calendar and detailed budget. All applications should be submitted via this google form, Ada Howe Kent Faculty Grants There will be two rounds of funding.
