Funding up to $500 is available for the academic year to support new directions in teaching. See more info and apply online.

CCE Academic Outreach Endowment Fund
The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) provides Academic Outreach funding for faculty to pursue community-connected and service-learning projects.
CCE PBL Teaching Assistant Funding (Pilot)
The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) is piloting a community-connected project-based learning (CCPBL) teaching assistant program.
CTLR Reading Groups
CTLR will provide up to $200 for faculty and staff reading groups of at least six individuals. Groups need to be designed to promote discussion of a topic, a theme, a pedagogy, or higher education. Requests can be sent to ctlr@middlebury.edu with an overview of the reading group and a budget (books and related materials). If a group emerges that is quite large, CLTR will entertain proposals for offering more support.
MiddData Faculty Fellows Program
The Middlebury Initiative for Data and Digital Methods (MiddData) leave year fellowships of $2,500 for one semester or $5,000 for a full year will provide salary replacement support for colleagues planning to pursue digital or data-oriented scholarship.
MiddData Micro-Grants
The Middlebury Initiative for Data and Digital Methods (MiddData) microgrants of up to of up to $1000 will support a variety of scholarly and pedagogical efforts using data and digital methodologies.
Engaged Listening Faculty Fellows Program
The EL Faculty Fellows Program helps faculty acquire and employ tools of listening and deliberation. Nine fellows will be chosen each semester (includes stipend).
Faculty Development Funds
Faculty Development Funds are resources compiled by Academic Affairs to support faculty development and research including FPDP, LPDF and UCRF.
Funding for Research Assistants
Funding for research assistants supports work with students to produce original research to further faculty scholarship and deepen student engagement and learning.
