Visiting Middlebury

Emma Willard House

Come and see us!  Choosing a college is a big decision and we hope you will be able to take some time to explore our community here in Vermont.

Middlebury College welcomes visitors at the Admissions Office in the Emma Willard House at 131 South Main Street Middlebury, VT 05753. Parking is available in the lot next to the Admissions office or in the lot behind the Kevin P. Mahaney '84 Center for the Arts (Lot Q on the campus map) a short walk from our office.  Daily information sessions and campus tours are available, and students are generally available to answer questions.  Saturday information sessions and tours are offered between August and October.  Please check the Campus Visit page for availability and to schedule your visit.

Reservations for information sessions and campus tours are recommended, and required for larger groups (10 people or more).  If you would like to visit with a group, please send your request to admissions@middlebury.edu, preferably at least two weeks in advance. Group visits are not confirmed until you hear back from our office.

Please note: If you cannot access the day you wish to attend on the calendar of our Campus Visit page, please call our office to confirm availability of sessions and tours for that day.
We only offer tours when classes are in session during the academic year.

The Admissions Office is open Monday-Friday 8:15 AM-5 PM and Saturdays August-October 9 AM-12 PM with the exception of a few days.  Please see the list below for upcoming dates.

Closed:
May 26 (Memorial Day)
July 4 (Independence Day)
March 21: The office will close at 4 p.m.

Scheduling a Classroom Visit

Prospective students are welcome to visit classes. Please consult the course schedule here: Course Schedule. Classes at the 100 or 200 level are most appropriate. Please arrive a few minutes before class, or email the professor in advance to ask permission, as there may be an exam planned or other reason why it would be best not to have visitors that day.
