Accessibility Services

Access to the Arts is important to us.  We invite you to contact us with specific accommodations or questions you may have about the Mahaney Center for the Arts or other events spaces on campus. We will make every effort to assist and accommodate you.

For reserved seating events, wheelchair-accessible locations and the adjacent companion seats will be held for purchase exclusively for patrons who have a member of their party who has a disability requiring the use of the accessible location. When the last non-wheelchair accessible location/seat is sold, all wheelchair locations and adjacent companion seats are released for sale on a first-come, first-served basis to patrons with and without mobility disabilities.

For general admission events ushers will hold accessible seating for those in need. If you need assistance, please ask. We are here to help.

Accessible Seats

Accessible seating is available for all events in the Dance Theater, Seeler Studio Theatre, and the Olin C. Robison Concert Hall at the Mahaney Center for the Arts (MCA). Wright Theatre, Mead Chapel, Wilson Hall, and Dana Auditorium also have accessible seating.

In Robison Hall, Seeler Studio Theatre, Wilson Hall, and the Dance Theatre select seats can be accessed without the use of stairs. Please request these seats when ordering tickets.

Accessible Parking

All campus parking lots have designated accessible parking for vehicles bearing valid Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) disability parking placards or license plates. Available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Venue-convenient accessible parking spaces and automatic doors are located on the east side (parking lot side) of the Mahaney Center for the Arts.

For performances in Wright Theatre and Mead Chapel, the gates at Chateau Road and Hepburn Road will be opened for patrons with accessibility concerns.

Low- or no-cost public transportation is available via Addison County Transit Resources (ACTR).  Free Dial-A Ride services are available for those aged 60+, disabled and visually-impaired people, Medicaid recipients, Reach Up participants, and some others.  Go to ACTR’s website>>
