For those who are interested in religious observance, we maintain a comprehensive list of congregations within various faith traditions.
Christian worship is available at various congregations in the Middlebury area. We suggest you call ahead to check on summer worship schedules.
Shabbat Services
- Shabbat Evening Services, Friday at 8:00 pm, in the Jewish Center at the Freeman International Center (FIC)
- Shabbat Morning Singing, Saturdays at 10:00 am, in the Jewish Center at the Freeman International Center (FIC)
The entrance is down the long ramp to your right if you are facing Bicentennial Hall. All are welcome regardless of background. Please contact Rabbi Danielle Stillman (dastillman@middlebury.edu) with any questions.
As of yet, there are no Muslim jumma services planned this summer. However, if you are interested in initiating/joining congregational prayers on campus or traveling to the Islamic Society of Vermont in South Burlington for Friday prayers, please contact MSA member, Abed Abbas abdulrahmana@middlebury.edu, who will be on campus this summer.
Eid al-Adha is expected to take place on Sunday, July 10th, 2022. There will be no Eid services on the Middlebury College campus. However, the broader Vermont Muslim community will observe Eid Al-Adha at The Islamic Society of Vermont (ISVT) in South Burlington. If you would like to join ISVT, please contact Chaplain Saifa Hussain (sthussain@middlebury.edu) to see what can be arranged.
The chaplains at The Scott Center for Spiritual and Religious Life are available for confidential chaplaincy care throughout the summer (and all year) to Middlebury students, faculty and staff, regardless of religious affiliation. Please see our On-Call Schedule for after-hours and weekend contacts.
Confidential resources such as pastoral care and religious observances are exempt from the language pledge.
