    Fall Semester CR/NCR Grading and Drop Deadline Updates

    At their November 12 meeting, the faculty approved two changes for the fall 2021 semester effective immediately:  1) re-instatement of the Credit/No-Credit alternate grade mode for the fall 2021 semester and 2) extension of the drop deadline to December 10.     Rifelj Series to Feature Approaches to Justice Across Academic Disciplines

    The next Carol Rifelj Faculty Lecture will be “Approaches to Justice Across Academic Disciplines” by Nikolina Dobreva (FMMC) and Amit Prakash (IGS) on Wednesday, November 10 at 4:30 pm in Hillcrest 103 and by livestream. A panel with faculty representing each academic division will discuss how research and current developments in their respective fields speak to the topic of justice.     Fall and Spring Semester Calendar Updates and New Class Scheduling Slots

    The following dates have been updated on the semester calendars. Winter Term registration is now Mon. 11/1 - Mon. 11/15, Spring Term registration is now Fri.12/3 - Wed. 12/8 and clarification was added that classes are in session on Fri. 2/18 (Winter Carnival). New class scheduling slots have also been added on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 12:30 - 1:20 pm. Read more about the changes.

    Faculty Approaches to Students Missing Class from Illness or COVID Concerns

    Many faculty are having to respond to students missing classes because of sickness or a concern over having been potentially exposed to COVID. One approach is to turn to technology to permit those students to continue to join class. Some faculty have utilized Polycarts to Zoom in students.
