Institutional Review Boards (IACUC and IRB)
Research involving live vertebrate animals (except for humans) must be approved in advance by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). For policies and forms involving animal studies, see their web page or contact Steve Trombulak of the Biology Department who chairs the committee (x3499), or Cathy Ekstrom, IACUC Coordinator, (x3262).
Research involving human participants may require approval of the Human Subjects Institution Review Board (IRB). To find out if your research requires approval or to review the application requirements, please visit the IRB website; or contact Michael Sheridan of the Sociology/Anthropology Department who chairs the committee (x5582), Allison Darrow, Science Grants Specialist at firstname.lastname@example.org or Eileen Brunetto, committee coordinator at email@example.com.
