Most of these funds are endowed as part of the College's endowment making them a permanent source of support. Middlebury remains truly grateful to the fund donors whose philanthropy benefits our students and faculty.
Scholarships, fellowships, internships, awards, and prizes enable the College to provide students many opportunities for learning, research, collaboration with faculty and recognition among their peers. Professorships, teaching and research funds, and lectureships enhance the quality of teaching at Middlebury. With faculty support funds, the College maintains its 9:1 student to faculty ratio guaranteeing close working relationships in the classrooms.
