Rosa Cuda
Rosa Cuda

Associate Professor and Director.

BA, MA, Ph.D. in Italian Studies at the University of Toronto, M.A. Didattica delle lingue straniere from the Università Ca’ Foscari, Venice  She served as a junior faculty member and bilingual assistant for the Italian School at Middlebury College in 1998 and 1999. She was also Instructor in Italian at the University of Toronto 1997—99. Ms. Cuda has worked for the School in Italy since 1999. Her research interests are Contemporary Italian Literature and Second Language Acquisition.

 

Patrizia Nesti
Patrizia Nesti

Assistant to the Director.

Diploma di Maturità Magistrale, Istituto Magistrale G. Pascoli, Firenze. Ms. Nesti has worked for the School in Italy since 1989. After having completed her studies at the Istituto Magistrale (1984), she worked as a temporary teacher for several elementary schools in the Florence area. As Assistant to the Director, she handles student registrations and internships as well as non-academic affairs such as IT and housing.

 

Laura Sieni
Laura Sieni

Academic Services Coordinator.

Dottore in Lingue e Letterature Straniere Moderne, Università di Firenze. Ms. Sieni has worked for the School in Italy since September 2000. Prior to her appointment at the School in Italy, Laura worked as a free-lance interpreter and translator for various companies in the Florence area. In 2008 she received an M.A. in Didattica delle lingue straniere from Università Ca’ Foscari, Venice. Laura has also taught a course in Socio-cultural competences.
As Academic Services Coordinator she is responsible for the Verifica Generale and for organizing the seminar sections for courses at the University of Florence, University of Ferrara, and the Sapienza of Rome.

Carol Prout

Student Services Coordinator

Carol Prout received her M.A. from Middlebury College School in Italy in 1999. She holds a B.A. in Art History from University of Richmond, an A.S. in Travel and Tourism from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, and a TEFL certificate.  Carol acts as general reception and first approach for students, she is responsible for organizing school activities, and maintains the student body informed of extra-curricular activities.  Carol is also the School in Italy librarian.
