Event organizers are responsible for providing crowd management per the requirements adopted by Middlebury College in accordance with the State of Vermont. 

Any event with an assembly occupancy greater than 50 people shall have a minimum of one trained crowd manager. Where the occupant load exceeds 250, additional crowd managers shall be provided at a ratio of 1 crowd manager for every 250 occupants.

Faculty and staff may be certified as crowd managers through Crowd Manager Training provided by the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). Certification is valid for three years.
