Health Professions
Health professions advisors help students and alumni make informed pre-health decisions, provide timely and accurate guidelines around pre-health admission requirements, and support clinical, service and research engagement. They also work with students exploring research opportunities and graduate school in the sciences.

Situational Judgement Tests (SJTs) in the Medical School Admissions Process
Middlebury College and the Northeast Consortium on Medical Education (NECOME) are excited to host a virtual panel on the use of Situational Judgement Tests (SJTs) in the medical school admissions process. We are looking forward to welcoming Dr. Leila Amiri from the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, Dr. Deborah Berman from the University of Michigan, Boston University’s Dr. Kristin Goodell, and Dr. Tracy Kedian from the UMASS Chan Medical School.
Please join us for a robust conversation as we delve into the history of SJT’s, how they are contextualized alongside grades, recommendations, MCAT scores, and written materials, what medical schools hope to learn about an applicant from their SJT score, and why some schools no longer use these assessments when reviewing candidate files.
