CTLR offers both peer and professional tutoring services to all Middlebury students free of charge.

Academic Support Updates

Below is a list of current services. Tutoring is available online and in-person during the academic year. We will do our best to connect you with support.

To schedule a professional appointment or request an individual peer tutor appointment, see go/appt.

Mask Policy: The CTLR is currently mask optional in our spaces. Masks may be required at certain events or when meeting with certain advisors or tutors. Remote options are available for most activities.

Peer Tutor Services

Includes course-based mediated study sessions and individual appointments, as well as individual tutoring by request:

  • Writing
  • STEM, Social Science, and Philosophy
  • International Languages (individual peer tutors only)
  • Additional course tutoring may be available by request

Professional Tutor Services

By individual appointments for the following areas:

  • Writing

Break Schedule

Tutoring is generally not available during breaks. Evening tutoring only occurs on nights before classes occur and may be limited adjacent to breaks due to tutor availability.

  • NSCI 0251 (Cellular/Molecular) Tutoring

    Date: Wednesday, April 24, 2024
    Time: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
    Location: MBH 4th Floor Balcony
    NSCI 0251 (Cellular/Molecular) Peer Tutors will be available to meet with students in BiHall: - Room 286 every Monday from 6:00-7:00 pm - Room 209 every Monday from 8:00-9:00 pm - Room 209 every Monday from 7:00-8:00 pm  - 3rd floor balcony every Tuesday from 8:00-10:00 pm - 4th floor balcony every Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 pm - Room 338 every Wednesday from 7:30-9:00 pm

  • ECON 250 (Macro Theory) Tutoring

    Date: Wednesday, April 24, 2024
    Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
    Location: Warner 1st Floor Lounge
    ECON 250 Macro Theory Peer Tutors will be available to meet with students at Warner 1st floor lounge every Wednesday 7:00-9:00pm.

  • NSCI 0252 (Behavioral) Tutoring

    Date: Wednesday, April 24, 2024
    Time: 7:30pm - 9:30pm
    Location: MBH 319
    NSCI 0252 (Behavioral) Peer Tutors will be available to meet with students: - in BiHall room 319 every Wednesday from 7:30-9:30 pm - online via Zoom every Thursday and Sunday from 7:00-8:00 pm  - in BiHall Armstrong Study Room (usually MBH 205, will notify if different) every Wednesday from 8:00-10:00 pm - in BiHall 3rd floor balcony every Sunday from 7:00-9:00pm
