CTLR offers both peer and professional tutoring services to all Middlebury students free of charge.

Academic Support Updates

Below is a list of current services. Tutoring is available online and in person during the academic year. We will do our best to connect you with support.

To schedule a professional appointment or request an individual peer tutor appointment, see go/appt.

Mask Policy: The CTLR is currently mask optional in our spaces. Masks may be required at certain events or when meeting with certain advisors or tutors. If you are feeling ill, please reach out to your tutor or advisor ahead and request a Zoom meeting.

Peer Tutor Services

Includes course-based mediated study sessions and individual appointments, as well as individual tutoring by request:

  • Writing
  • STEM, Social Science, and Philosophy
  • International Languages (individual peer tutors only)
  • Additional course tutoring may be available by request

Professional Tutor Services

By individual appointments for the following areas:

  • Writing

Break Schedule

Tutoring is generally not available during breaks. Evening tutoring only occurs on nights before classes occur and may be limited adjacent to breaks due to tutor availability.

  • PHIL 180 Intro to Logic

    Date: Monday, October 7, 2024
    Time: 4:30pm - 5:30pm
    Location: Q-Center (MBH 202)
    PHIL 180 tutors will be available on Mondays from 4:30-5:30 pm in the Q-Center (MBH 202) for drop-in sessions.

  • STAT 116-118-201 Stats and Data Science

    Date: Monday, October 7, 2024
    Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
    Location: Q-Center (MBH 202)
    STAT 116, 118, and 201 Peer Tutors are available Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays from 7-9 pm in the Q-Center (MBH 202) for drop-in sessions.

  • Writing Drop-In Tutoring (LIB)

    Date: Monday, October 7, 2024
    Time: 7:00pm - 10:00pm
    Location: CTLR (Davis Library 225)
    Writing peer tutors are available for drop-in sessions at the times/locations below.
