CTLR offers both peer and professional tutoring services to all Middlebury students free of charge.

Academic Support Updates

Below is a list of current services. Tutoring is available online and in-person during the academic year. We will do our best to connect you with support.

Mask Policy: The CTLR is currently mask optional in our spaces. Masks may be required at certain events or when meeting with certain advisors or tutors. Remote options are available for most activities.

Peer Tutor Services

Includes course-based mediated study sessions and individual appointments, as well as individual tutoring by request:

  • Writing
  • STEM, Social Science, and Philosophy
  • International Languages (individual peer tutors only)
  • Additional course tutoring may be available by request

  • CHEM 203 (Organic) Tutoring - Problem Sessions

    Date: Wednesday, October 4, 2023

    Location: MBH 303
    CHEM 203-204 (Organic) Peer Tutors are available to meet with students for Problem Sessions at Bi Hall in MBH 303 every Wednesday from 7-9 pm.

  • CHEM 322 (Biochemistry of Macromolecules) Tutoring

    Date: Wednesday, October 4, 2023
    Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
    Location: MBH 4th Floor Balcony
    CHEM 322 (Biochemistry of Macromolecules) Peer Tutors are available to meet with students for Problem Sessions at Bi Hall on the 4th floor balcony every Wednesday from 7-9 pm.

  • MATLAB Tutoring

    Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
    Location: Warner 011
    MATLAB Peer Tutors are available to meet with students at Warner in WNS 011 every Wednesday and Sunday from 7-9 pm.
