PPE in laboratories include eyes, face, and foot protection, as well as gloves and protective clothing such as lab coats and aprons.

The need for PPE is dependent upon the type of operations being performed and the nature and quantity of the materials in use. Contact the Sciences EH&S Working Group for a PPE assessment if you are uncertain what protective equipment is required for use in your laboratory.
