Enjoy the sounds of the carillon bells from inside the Chapel or on the surrounding lawns. This is the 20th anniversary of the series, which features the magnificent carillon given by alumnus and former College trustee Alan Dragone. Free

Vermont Symphony Orchestra Pops Concert/Fireworks
7:30 P.M., Alumni Stadium

The Vermont Symphony Orchestra's 2005 Banknorth Vermont Summer Festival Tour -- "It's Showtime!" -- features music with a theater/stage connection, including the Polovetsian Dances by Borodin featured in the musical Kismet, Copland's "Buckaroo Holiday" from his ballet Rodeo, and Rossini's overture to the comic opera The Barber of Seville. Conductor Anthony Princiotti and the VSO pay tribute to Broadway with past and present Broadway hits such as My Fair Lady, The Phantom of the Opera, and Gershwin's Porgy & Bess. The performance concludes with the 1812 Overture accompanied by a crescendo of fireworks. Grounds open at 5:30 for picnicking. Tickets: $22 adults, $12 children 12-18, children 11 and under free.
