The Arts at Middlebury provide tremendous resources for cross-disciplinary exploration. Curricular Connections is a resource to forge connections between the academic curriculum and the rich artistic resources that are here for students, faculty, and the surrounding community to enjoy.

How to use this guide:

  • Review the chapters, linked at the bottom of this page.
  • Each chapter begins with a list of classes which may have a Curricular Connection—although there may be even more.
  • Review this guide with your course offerings in mind. Curricular Connections can help faculty and students identify events that may be a natural match.
  • Consider whether your class would benefit from attending a performance, or viewing an exhibition. As an incentive, each faculty member who makes arrangements through the Box Office will receive a complimentary ticket to the show.
  • Some artists offer additional outreach activities, discussions, or master classes. Let us know if you see a connection we can pursue together.

To make a Curricular Connection, via tickets or outreach opportunities, contact Shannon Bohler-Small, Events and Administrative Coordinator, 802-443-2961 or bohler@middlebury.edu.
