Mills College

Founded in 1852, Mills College is a nationally renowned independent liberal arts college for women, with graduate programs for both women and men. Mills was ranked #2 Best Value Schools in the West (U.S. News & World Report, 2018) and one of the "382 Best Colleges" in the nation (Princeton Review, 2018). The College is also recognized for the diversity of its student body, with more than a half of the 1,500+ students identifying as students of color.

Located in the foothills of Oakland, California, on the east shore of the San Francisco Bay, Mills College resides on a lush 135-acre park-like campus. Amid the green, rolling hills and century-old eucalyptus trees, students find a great place to live and learn. The Mills campus is heavily accented with Mediterranean-style buildings, along with paths and streams that wind their way through tree groves and meadows. At first glance, the tranquil beauty of Mills College belies the pulse of activity that beats within its gates. As you'll discover when you visit campus, Mills is home to one of the most progressive educational experiences available today. Take a virtual tour of the campus!
