Proud to Be a Panther Challenge Campaign

Our annual campaign to bring together alumni in support of Middlebury athletics!

Wednesday, October 12–Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Just for Leads: Fall Appeal Letter

We send a fall appeal letter to all classes each year and then ask their lead agents to follow it up with a “kicker email.” Leads, your Annual Giving staff liaison will be in touch in late October with a template email for you to tailor (or completely rewrite, as the case sometimes is), with a deadline of Nov 10. This task will not overlap with Proud to Be a Panther outreach.

Homecoming and More

Homecoming is a great time to visit campus! Alumni and Parent Programs will be hosting Alumni of Color Weekend as well this year!

End-of-Calendar-Year Fundraising Outreach

Appeal to classmates who like to give before the end of the calendar year. If that’s common in your class, please plan to do some email or phone outreach during November and December!

Just for Leads: Spring Appeal Letter

In February, we assemble the spring appeal letter from each class’s lead agents to their classmates. Leads, your Annual Giving staff liaison will be in touch with a template for you to tailor (or completely rewrite, as the case sometimes is). Please note: this task overlaps with MiddWinter Challenge preparation and outreach.

Spring 2023

Reunion event ideas deadline

Please bring all your good Reunion event ideas to the table before March to make sure there’s time to turn those ideas into reality! Once we get to March and registration opens, committees can shift more of their attention to finalizing Reunion plans, and encouraging classmates to attend and make their Reunion class gift.

Virtual Reunion events completed

Reunion committees, please plan to wrap up any virtual event planning by April 2023. This leaves time for excitement for the in person event to build!

Reunion Committee Meetings

Reunion volunteers meet one to three times between March and May to plan class-specific Reunion events and fundraising initiatives in consultation with their staff liaisons, who will coordinate to find times that work for each committee.

25th and 50th Reunion Weekend

We invite classes celebrating these milestone Reunions to return to campus on Thursday and settle into celebrating with leisure!
