Hire Timeline for Existing Student Employees
Note - Students that have never worked for Middlebury College before are considered a New Student Employee. If you have ever worked at Middlebury College you are an Existing Student Employee.
- Apply for a job in Workable.
- Move through application process.
- Once you are hired, you will receive an email confirmation from Workable to the email address you applied with.
- The Monday following your initial confirmation you will receive a message with a confirmation of your start date and other important information. Please check the email that you used when you applied.
- You should have access to the assignment you were hired for the Thursday following receipt of the message in step 4.
Note - Existing students will have access to Oracle for their entire time at Middlebury, but different assignments may not appear until the following Thursday after confirmation of start date.
Hire Timeline for New Student Employees

- Apply for a job in Workable.
- Move through application process.
- Once you are hired, you will receive an email confirmation from Workable to the email address you applied with.
- The Monday following your initial confirmation you will receive a message with a confirmation of your start date and other important information. Please check the email that you used when you applied.
- Log into Oracle. Please read this before logging into Oracle to avoid locking your account! You should have access to Oracle once you have received the onboarding email in step 5. If you attempt to log in any sooner you will receive an error.
- Complete your onboarding tasks in Oracle. More information about onboarding tasks may be found here.
- Complete your I-9 - you should receive an email from HireRight by your start date with instructions for completing section 1 of your I-9. If you do not see this invitation please check your spam/junk folder. To complete section 2 of your I-9 please visit one of our offices within 3 days of your start date with original, hard copies of your documents. We cannot accept photos or scans of documents. A list of acceptable documents may be found here. Failure to complete your I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification before the end of the third day will result in a Stop Work Order.
Note: Students who have been Middlebury employees previously do not need to complete additional I9s unless there has been a change in work authorization status.
