June 16, 2021

We are writing to remind you of important information about the PCR test requirement for your arrival at Middlebury, and to provide sign-up information for the Arrival Center on June 24.

Individuals who are not fully vaccinated by June 10 or who have traveled internationally are required to show a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of travel at the Arrival Center. If you fall in one or both of these categories, and do not have a negative COVID-19 PCR test at the Arrival Center, you will be required to leave the program.

Please note that we will accept a pre-flight antigen test to fulfill the negative test requirement, but we will not accept an antibody test. After showing the negative test result, individuals who are not fully vaccinated will receive a Day 0 COVID-19 test at the Arrival Center, followed by Day 4 and Day 7 tests. International travelers will be required to return for a Day 4 test only.

If you have traveled domestically and are fully vaccinated, you will not need to be tested at the Arrival Center. However, you will need to come to the Arrival Center to check in and pick up your ID card.

All students need to sign up for an arrival time on June 24 between noon to 8 p.m. If you are a faculty or staff member arriving on June 24 or returning for a Day 4 or Day 7 test, you must also sign-up for an arrival time. If you are arriving on a different day, there is no sign-up process. If you are riding on an airport shuttle bus, you do not need to sign up for a time because you will automatically have a reservation.

We will have a baggage shuttle service available at the Arrival Center. Please proceed to the outdoor baggage check station near the parking area on the south side of Virtue Field House. Your baggage will be tagged for delivery to your residence hall.

We look forward to seeing you in Middlebury,
