Armelle Crouzières-Ingenthron, PhD. is the J. Harvey Watson Professor of French and Francophone studies in the Lois ’51 and Harvey Watson Department of French and Francophone Studies at Middlebury College. In 2019 she assumed the Directorship of the Betty Ashbury Jones ‘MA 86 School of French. She teaches French at all levels and postcolonial French literature. Her current research focuses on the works of women writers of North African origin who immigrated to Mediterranean Europe, and on the postcolonial literature of sub-Saharan Africa. She loves teaching, reading, walking, traveling, discovering other countries and cultures, learning continuously and spending time with family and friends.
