The Office of the Provost provides funding to faculty, staff, and students to pursue new initiatives and ideas inside and outside the classroom.

These initiatives are selected by the Provost’s Academic Council and are intended to support and advance Middlebury’s mission.

The Office of the Provost staff is available to support individuals and groups who would like to propose new initiatives and ideas. This support includes:

Identifying Partners: We may connect you with someone who can move your idea forward.
Navigating Middlebury: We may help with policies and procedures to facilitate what you want to accomplish.
Financial Resources: The provost’s office administers internal funds that can support ideas that align with Middlebury’s mission and strategic priorities.
