Meeting with Learning Resources
Can any student meet with Learning Resources and does it cost anything?
Many if not most of Middlebury students use CTLR services as part of their Middlebury experience. Services are available for all students and free!
How do I schedule a consultation with a Learning Resources director?
You can schedule online with either Jennifer Bates and Jenny Orten at go/appt/. If you don’t see any available appointments, you can visit drop-in hours, or contact us for more availability.
How do I book an appointment with an ACE peer tutor?
ACE peer tutors have available hours at go/appt/ during the semester. If you don’t see any available appointments you can schedule with a director, visit drop-in hours, or contact us for more availability.
Should I schedule with an ACE tutor or a Learning Resources director?
You can meet with either! Read the below questions about why you may want to meet with an ACE or a Learning Resources director.
Why would I meet with an ACE peer tutor?
ACE peer tutors can cover basic executive function skills, including time management, studying, and academic reading. You’ll get the student perspective on balancing academic work and self-care. You can watch a video and learn more about ACEs here.
Why would I meet with a Learning Resources director?
Meeting with a Learning Resources director allows you to go deeper into a full range of executive function skills, including focus and attention, procrastination and motivation, habit building, time management, studying, and academic reading. Especially recommended for students managing substantial challenges, and open to any student who is interested.
