How to Reserve a Room for Your Thesis Committee Meetings & Defense

NOTE:  During the Fall of 2020 meetings should be conducted via Zoom whenever possible.

To reserve a room to meet with your thesis committee (and for your thesis defense),  fill out the Events Scheduling online form (you will be asked to log in):

** CHECK CURRENT ROOM CAPACITIES HERE **

PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST 48 HOURS FOR
YOUR ROOM TO BE CONFIRMED.

The Scheduling Office will not be able to accommodate
last minute requests.

There are a few important things you MUST include on the form, otherwise Scheduling will not process your request.

  • Under "Event Title", you must put "Thesis Committee Meeting/Defense".
  • Give at least three room choices (separated by "OR").
  • If you request a lab room, it will take longer to get a confirmation.
  • Suggested rooms:  MBH 148, 430, or 530.  (Note: MBH 555  is only available to schedule through Chemistry.)  VERIFY ROOM CAPACITY during Covid-19.  If you give multiple room choices, be clear you are requesting only one room.
