Assaf will talk about an Opera in Hebrew. The Opera’s lyrics are in Hebrew and taken directly from the book of 1 Samuel, chapter 28. The lecture will be in Dana Auditorium and is open to the public.

Duo Ondine is a French-Italian four-hands piano duet born in Geneva, Switzerland in 2014. Ten years later, its refined and virtuosic programs and highly sensitive playing continue to delight international audiences. Specializing in French and Slavic repertoires, Juliette Aridon-Kociolek and Clémentine Dubost present programs including Debussy, Ravel, Dukas, Saint-Saëns, Dvorak, Rachmaninov, Borodine, Moussorgsky, and Stravinsky, designing their concert programs around a specific theme or connecting thread. Free and open to the public in the Mahaney Arts Center (Robison Concert Hall). More details.

German for Singers is excited to present Johann Strauss’ famous operetta “Die Fledermaus”, arranged and custom-tailored for our program by our musical director Stefan Rütter. The production will be fully staged and costumed, with piano accompaniment. Bettina Matthias and Stephan Boving will co-direct this production. Performances are on Friday and Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in Middlebury’s Seeler Theater (MAC).
You can also see this show in Scharbeutz, Germany, between August 29th and September 1st as our program has once again been invited to perform our project at the Baltic Sea. Join us for an evening of song performed by the School of French choir in the Middlebury Chapel! Under the direction of Clementine DuBost, the annual School of French choral concert features French-influenced music from a range of genres; choral to traditional; contemplative to uplifting.
